Square Fish Books

Square Fish Books is a new children's book publisher of such titles as The One and Only Shrek and the Wrinkle in Time quintet. This site was completed and launched on schedule under a tight deadline. Sadly retired with Macmillan's massive company-wide relaunch.

New Art Dealers Alliance Art Fair

The design of a complete print package including advertisements for prominent art magazines, invitational cards, map pamphlet, a 98-page full color catalogue and fair signage.

Jeffco Signature Collection

A brochure and logo for the renowned furniture company Jeffco. The logo riffs off of the swan in the company's main logo, reducing it to a few painterly marks. The brochure was the first effort to launch a pre-finished upholstered furniture line.

Columbia Final Voyage

Design of both the cover and interior pages for the Copernicus Books title Columbia Final Voyage, including page composition. The cover image is based upon the NASA portrait of the Columbia crew, cropped to heighten the contrast between the regality and technical sophistication of the astronaut uniform, and the tragic frailty of the human within.

Unpublished Book Covers

This is a collection of unpublished covers dating from 2000-2006. Some were rejected by publishers, while others weren't resolved until after the books were published—an exercise in design or obsessive vanity, depending upon personal opinion.

Michael Cunningham

The official site for the Pulitzer prize-winning author and his most recent novel Specimen Days went through two design incarnations, along with the book's hardcover & paperback editions - each version was paired to the design of the edition.
