Assistant Web Designer/Developer, New York

Glomerate is looking for a Web Designer/Developer in the NYC area to assist in current and upcoming projects, starting immediately.

Some combination of the following is required:

Designer Requirements:
  • Experience creating pixel-perfect site mockups in Photoshop with a good technical understanding of XHTML/CSS
  • Experience taking Photoshop mockups and translating them into functional XHTML/CSS
  • Good grasp on web usability, web typography, UI design, Information Architecture
  • A design aesthetic compatible with what's in our portfolio
Developer Requirements:
  • Experience writing hand-coded, semantic, standards-compliant, cross-browser XHTML/CSS
  • Experience writing Javascript
  • Experience in PHP application development
Experience in any of the following is a plus:
  • Drupal
  • AJAX & JS frameworks
  • Flash (FLVplayback, Actionscript 2/3)
  • MySQL
  • SEO
You should be organized, efficient, professional, living in the New York City area and be able to make it to our office in Greenpoint, Brooklyn every so often for meetings.
